The Popular Republic of China will host the 9th Aerobic Gymnastics World Championships in 2006.The delegates of the Chinese Federation present in Sofia and the FIG have officially signed the agreement regarding the terms of the organization of this major event for the discipline.China has a exceptional gymnastics culture and has outstanding past and current champions in the various disciplines of this sport. Aerobic Gymnastics is increasing its audience in the country and these World Championships will highlight this phenomenal development.

The event will take place in the City of Nanjin, Jiangsu Province, in June, 2006.
